Is your business is closed at the moment?
You may have been thinking that there’s no point being on social media at the moment because you’ve got nothing to tell people. You may have stopped marketing all together.
But here’s the thing, your customers are online and on social media, and many of them have more time on their hands than ever before. People are learning new things, looking at more content and watching more online.
The businesses that have been online for the last 8 weeks have been gaining people’s trust and will be in their minds right now. Customers have been living through the current times with them. They know what those businesses are doing, how they are feeling and what they are offering.
If you've not been online, then people presume that you are not doing anything and they may even be wondering IF you are going to stay in business. Despite things being tough, you need to adapt and get online. And it’s not too late.
With things starting to open up, many businesses are starting to get up and running again. If you haven’t been marketing recently, then now’s the time to start.

If you’ve already got social media but just aren’t using it then make a start. Schedule some posts. You need to be thinking about what your customers are interested in?
For example if you own a café and you’re shut, then post recipes that from your favourite meals or bakes that your customers can make themselves, show them how to do it, maybe Go LIVE on Instagram, or on facebook – don’t worry abou t whether you think you’re any good, just have a go. It doesn’t have to be polished.
The thing to remember is that if you give people content that’s unique to you then they will remember and when you are open they will come back to your shop.
